  • Currently sitting in RBB...ok..TRS' computer lab. It's 2:30p.m. Yes I'm suppose to be in class but no I'm not skipping. I'm here because my professor cancelled class AGAIN. That makes the 2nd time in one semester, though this time the excuse is better: family emergency. Ok I'll forgive him for that one, but the last one was just ridiculous. "I HAVE THE FLU" on the day of TTC and west GTA's blackout? Right.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got news yesterday that my godmother's mother passed away the day before; funeral is tomorrow at 10:00am in Kitchener because she lived there. So I sat down and sent my godmother an email about how I was sorry to hear the news. But as I sat down and began typing, I typed one sentence and stopped. I had no idea what to write. I don't want to sound mean or like heartless or something, but personally, I haven't really had any family members passing away, except my great-grandmother, but I wasn't around at that time and she was sick, so we all sort of expected the worse. The only other time that I went to a funeral was when my mom's HS teacher/friend's wife passed away. I wasn't particularly close to that auntie but I knew her family, and some of her husband's family. I don't remember if I cried, probably not; my memories of her weren't that much, but I can also say the same for my godmother's mother. I have never even met her, but out of politeness, or whatever it is, I should still be there. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I don't want to go.

I don't attend many funerals (nor do I want to; who does?), but every time I do, a problem always come up: how you present yourself in terms of clothing and such. The clothing part, I'm covered since I'm in business in all. I made sure I have black dress pants and any colour of dress shirt that I can find and fits and suits me.; shoes aren't a problem either. The biggest problem is that I don't have a bag that I can put my things in when I go to a funeral. Most my bags are like variations of red, pink and purple, which aren't exactly the colours for a funeral. I sold my only black small purse a long while back during the garage sale at Edith's and never did end up getting another one after that. I really need to think about things like this when I buy things.

With all those bad news, I do have one good news: Grey Power called one of my references and according to her, they sounded pretty impress

  • Weather

Yea, I'm actually blogging about the weather. But hey, it's been nice these last couple of days.

Yesterday and today was raining pretty hard. I overslept because it was so dark outside. But honestly, if my room wasn't so cold during winter time and i was actually closing my eyes, it would've sounded like it was a summer thunderstorm out there yesterday. I think I heard a few rolls of  thunder too.

Hopefully this nice kind of weather continues. I really don't like the whole -20°C thing. I'd be pretty happy if it was just -10 but it would be even better if it was like 2 of course.

Last day of school before reading week starts! I hope MacInnes isn't going to pull something weird. He lied last time and canceled the class; what a nice model for students. he was just too lazy to come to school because of the blackout and the subway closure. "I HAVE THE FLU" honestly! Is it really such a conincidence that he sends out the email at 8:51 am when the latest update on TTC's website was posted at 8:52 am? I have to wonder about that.

Anyways, I hope the midterms hasn't killed everyone yet.

  • Inauguration of Obama

So, did anyone watch it? It was completely random that I ended up watching it; funniest part was that i watched it during my Auditing class. We were on break and then someone suddenly asked the prof if he could use the computer to watch the ceremony, and so we did. It was an awsome speech with a few funny parts here and there...well for my experience anyway

First, Obama seemed to have been a tad bit excited and started repeating after the judge a second early. Then the judge went too fast and lost Obama; historicaly moment right there. Thirdly, or maybe it's just me, but it seemed like the speech Obama gave afterwards was kinda "uum jut" some people *ahembushahem*. Lastly, just as Obama said "God bless you," a person behind me sneezed and the next second, Obama said, "God bless you all." The timing couldn't have been more perfect.

Completely out of the blue, but I was reading some of the extra stuff that Stephanie Meyer posted on her website on New Moon and saw some pictures of her fans at signings and other events. A sudden thought occured to me: Edward Cullen should meet Kaname Kuran. The whole "We love Edward" and "Team Edward" thing...it just makes me think what would happen if those two meet. Or even the Cullen Family and the Night Class. If there is ever a fight, for whatever reason, it would be cool to see what would happen. Ok, since there's Zero Kiryu, let's add Jacob Black into this while we're at it. Personally I would think that the Night Class has the advantage, but then if you consider Edward and Alice's abilities, the fight would probably be pretty equal, so it would be interesting to see. Fans-wise, I think they're pretty even

  • New Year's Resolutoion

The beginning of the year calls for resolutons. I wonder how many I'll actually keep this year. lol.

    1. Get at least a C in 821
    2. Let's hope for a B in Law and Finance
    3. Save up some money for the summer...let's add the Wii in there too lol.
    4. I wonder if I'll be able to stay fit...
    5. Finish editing dreamSTICK2 so I can start on the 1st one.
    6. Get dreamSTICK1 to Edith by her birthday
    7. Get a life back. God knows I need one...sleeping at 5 in the morning is SO unhealthy

dreamSTICK...come to think of it, I think I still owe Edith a bday present....time to draw...and dig for my lost pencil crayons that I have abandoned since like gr. 10's history project.

Oh yes, the most important thing: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

  • Wow. How long has it been since I was last around? Too long. lol. But, I had sudden urges to blog for the last few days but  because of auditing exam, I didn't have much time to get on the computer. Computers are so distracting.

While I have been shying away and studying, I developed a small new habbit: painting my nails while I'm reading, especially any accounting related courses.  It's one of the best ways to get your nails all nice and pretty without them getting scratched.  But then since my lessons are always so long, I find that painting one hand after the other is the most efficient. Come to think of it, my nails are getting a bit long...like Chris once said "they look like they can pierce someone". lol. Time to cut them lol.

hmmm...I forgot what  wanted to write lol. Guess I'll save it when I get home tomorrow....oh wait! I remember now lol.  Yea, so I was bored while studying for the last two days, and I randomly picked up a CD from my old stock of limited CDs and poped it into the player, press Random, and Play. Guess what? It was a w-inds. CD that I made years ago. lol. I had almost forgotten about it, and listening to Long Road, Pieces, Shiki, and Kireida brings back memories. I still remember how when we were doing Ancient History that summer at Milliken High School, and we had to make a poster of sort for I think Egyptian stuff. Doreen ran out of hieroglyphics and put in "Kireida" in Japanese somewhere in there. I don't think Rachel (Ha! I remember because of Edith's uncanny naming of her character in Half Pain, another memorable time...minus a few certain parts from that memory...) even noticed the sudden change in language lol.

    I feel old now.
